Last night was the Riesling Trail AGM, thank you to everyone who came out to join us. Our Chairman Allan Mayfield gave a rundown of what the committee has been working on over the past months to improve the Trail. Tony Siebert, our Treasurer, gave a rundown of finances. Mayor Allan Aughey and the new CEO David Stobbe also attended.
Our guest speakers were Michael Nugent and Tim Grigg speaking about the Clare Valley Wine and Wilderness Trail. It is a 100km hiking trail that showcases the region’s premium wine, food and natural landscapes. This public trail offers the freedom to explore the entire route or choose one of the six stages at your own pace, featuring 26 cellar doors, multiple restaurants, cafes and pubs. The trail spans through rural and wilderness landscapes, allowing walkers to experience the region’s beauty.
